A touch of motoring history for lunch time shoppers

Wednesday September 20, 2006

Lunch time shoppers will slip back in time when a cavalcade of pre 1956 vehicles heads down King William street to the Adelaide Town Hall tomorrow (Thursday 21st of September). The vehicles are just a taste of some of the 1,500 vintage and veteran entries that will take part in this Sunday’s Bay to Birdwood Run.

The traditional pre-event parade will begin at Torrens Parade Ground at 12.30 p.m. and head along King William street to the Adelaide Town Hall and return to the Parade Ground. Some traffic restrictions will be in place during the procession.

For those who want to take a closer look at motoring nostalgia, vehicles will be on display in the Rundle Mall from 9am on Thursday.
