RECORD ENTRIES EXPECTED FOR THIS YEARS BAY TO BIRDWOOD CLASSIC

Organisers of this years Bay to Birdwood Classic event urge entrants to get their entry in early so as not to miss out. The Bay to Birdwood Classic committee say that interest has been extremely strong already this year and to avoid disappointment it is important to register early. Entry forms will be available in May 2005.

The world’s largest continually staged historic motoring event takes to the streets on Sunday September 25 this year. The spectacular event attracts a field of 1700 vehicles and tens of thousand of spectators line the 75-kilometre route from Adelaide Shores to the National Motor Museum at Birdwood in the beautiful Adelaide Hills.

This years Bay to Birdwood Classic is for vehicles built after 1 January 1955 and before 31 December 1975. Cars, motorcycles, trucks, fire engines and buses from this unique vintage will take part in the world’s longest cavalcade of motoring history. Many entrants enjoy getting into the spirit of the day by dressing appropriately depicting the era of their vehicle.

The 2005 Bay to Birdwood Classic will showcase the exciting 50’s, 60’s and 70’s and no doubt Elvis, Marilyn, and the Fonz will be spotted along the way.
