2007 Cruising Classics
2005 Cruising ClassicsThe 2005 Cruising Classics was the second Cruising program to accompany the Bay to Birdwood Classic and provided visitors, Bay to Birdwood entrants and motoring enthusiasts with two weeks of varied events – and obviously the option to stay longer in South Australia. The events, which consist of one day vehicle runs and one evening event were held during the week prior and the days immediately following the 2005 Bay to Birdwood Classic. Runs are open to anyone irrespective of their vehicle and normally include provision of morning tea often lunch together with competitions and prizes. The entry cost per vehicle or participant is kept to a minimum and is solely to cover catering and all/any entrance fees. Although participants are not required to use their classic/historic vehicles for the runs, many of them do so and they offer a spectacular view as they cruise the countryside around Adelaide. Highlights of the 2005 Cruising Classics program were:- The Drive In night – a sell out! - The Barossa Valley crawl - A jaunt to the Fleurieu Peninsula For interstate and international participants in the Bay to Birdwood event this is a wonderful way to enjoy sightseeing wrapped up with the camaraderie of meeting fellow motoring enthusiasts. 2003 Cruising ClassicsThe inaugural Cruising Classics was an outstanding success with 180 vehicles taking part and over 600 people being entertained during the imaginative and scenic tours arranged by 12 enthusiastic Federation Clubs. |
