On the last Sunday in September each year some 1,500 historic vehicles line up to play their part in perpetuating the legend of the Bay to Birdwood. YOU can be there too!

The next Bay to Birdwood event will be the “Run" staged on Sunday 30 September 2012.

The 2012 Run will be for vehicles manufactured before 31 December 1955. Note that eligibility has not "rolled on" by 2 years from the 2010 event.

The next Bay to Birdwood Classic will be held on Sunday 29 September 2013.

As of today, 1650 entries have been received out of a limit of 1750 vehicles. At this stage it seems likely that the entry list will be full by Friday 5 August.

More than 1200 entries have been received. Some 200 entries were returned in 2009 because of the 1750 vehicle limit. Also note that a late entry fee applies to entries post marked after 5 August 2011. Enter now!

A Bay to Birdwood dance, hosted by Rock the Boat, will be held at the Top of the Ark room at The Arkaba Hotel on Saturday 24 September from 7.30pm to 11.30pm featuring "The Highlights" and DJ "Let The Good Times Roll". Tickets are $15 per head and must be pre-booked by phoning Vicki on 1300 247 371 during business hours. All profits will be donated to Club Slick, Downs Syndrome Society of SA. For accommodation or meal bookings call The Arkaba on 8338-1100.

The official Bay to Birdwood launch event is to be held under the Gawler Place canopy on Rundle Mall on Tuesday 28 June 2011 between 9am - 5pm. Come down to Rundle Mall to check out the cars and learn more about this year’s event.

There has been some publicity in the media about the route of future Bay to Birdwood events. Notwithstanding, this year's 30th anniversary event will use the "traditional route": Anzac Highway, Greenhill Road, Dequetteville Tce, North East Road etc.

2010 is the 30th anniversary of the first Bay to Birdwood Run. For this year only, Veteran vehicles (pre 1919) are invited to enter free of charge! Also a Bay to Birdwood Dinner will be held on the Friday before the event. And there is a range of 30th anniversary memorabilia. See the back of the entry form, which you can download from here.
